On October 10, 2025, the third edition of the GAMM Student Chapter Science Slam took place in Bochum for the first time. The slam was coordinated by the Chairs of Mechanics – Materials Theory and Continuum Mechanics together with the junior research groups from Hamburg, Hanover, and Braunschweig. A total of 35 participants (master's students, doctoral students, postdocs) took part. After lunch together in the RUB cafeteria, there was an industry presentation by Dr. Antonio Bräunche and Dr. Fabian Wagner (himself an RUB alumnus) from BCG on applications of generative AI in research and business. This was followed by 10 presentations in the contributed sessions, where participants were able to exchange ideas about their research in the fields of mathematics and mechanics in a relaxed atmosphere. The event concluded with a joint dinner at the Uni-Center.
